Is brushing twice a day enough?
Brushing thoroughly twice a day for two minutes with a fluoride toothpaste is the everyday foundation most dental guidance recommends. Cleaning between teeth and regular dental check-ups matter alongside brushing, since a toothbrush alone can't reach every surface.
Should I brush straight after eating or drinking something acidic?
It's best to wait around two hours after acidic food or drinks - citrus fruit, fizzy drinks, wine - before brushing. Acid can temporarily soften the outer enamel layer, and brushing straight away can add extra abrasion while it's still soft. Rinsing with water in the meantime is a good interim step.
How do I use ApaCare Remineralising Toothpaste for best results?
Brush thoroughly twice a day for at least two minutes with a pea-sized amount, then rinse only lightly rather than with a full glass of water. This leaves a thin film on your teeth so the hydroxyapatite can keep working between brushes. Remineralisation is a gradual, ongoing process, so results build with consistency rather than overnight.
Why shouldn't I rinse my mouth with water straight after brushing?
A thorough water rinse washes away the hydroxyapatite before it's had time to bond with your enamel. A light rinse, or none at all, leaves a thin film in place, letting the mineral keep working after you've finished brushing.
Can I use more than one ApaCare product in my routine?

What is tooth enamel, and can it grow back?

What determines your natural tooth colour, and why does it change with age?
