Oral care is full of advice that gets passed down like family recipes — confidently, and often completely wrong. Here are six myths we hear constantly, and what the evidence actually says.
Myth 1: Brush harder, get cleaner
Reality: plaque is soft — it wipes off with light pressure. What hard scrubbing removes is your enamel, especially at the gumline. Soft brush, gentle circles, two minutes. Let the chemistry do the work, not the force.
Myth 2: Rinse thoroughly after brushing

Myth 3: White teeth = healthy teeth
